PROJECT OVERVIEW
Ferry Electric's work supports the electrical infrastructure throughout the entire venue, beginning with a new Duquesne Light Company electrical service that provides power to the building.
The electrical systems support the venue's lighting, live audio, stage lighting, video systems, staging equipment, concessions, and other venue operations. The project also includes designated electrical connections to support mobility devices such as motorized wheelchairs.
WHAT THE ELECTRICAL WORK SUPPORTED
Citizens Live at the Wylie is designed to fill a gap in Pittsburgh's live entertainment market with a flexible venue sized for touring acts that may be too large for smaller clubs but not suited for the city's largest arenas.
Its location also contributes to the continued revitalization of the Lower Hill District while recognizing the neighborhood's important cultural and musical legacy. A photo wall created with the Carnegie Museum of Art features the work of renowned Pittsburgh photographer Charles "Teenie" Harris, while a custom upside-down mirrored piano pays tribute to the legendary Crawford Grill.
COMMUNITY IMPACT
Citizens Live at the Wylie is a new 98,500-square-foot live entertainment and event venue in Pittsburgh's historic Lower Hill District. With capacity for approximately 4,500 guests, the venue is designed to bring mid-sized touring acts to Pittsburgh while creating a more intimate concert experience.
Developed through a partnership between the Pittsburgh Penguins, Citizens Financial Group, and Live Nation, the venue is also part of the ongoing redevelopment of the Lower Hill District and is designed to celebrate the neighborhood's rich musical and cultural history.
COOL FACT
Citizens Live at the Wylie will officially kick off its first concert season on October 2, 2026, with Pittsburgh native Wiz Khalifa taking the stage for the venue's inaugural show. The 4,500-capacity venue is designed to keep fans close to the action, with the furthest seat less than 150 feet from the stage.
