How NECA & IBEW Work Together

Electrical construction is a team effort.

In Western Pennsylvania, it’s built on a long-standing partnership between the Western Pennsylvania Chapter NECA contractors and IBEW Locals 5, 56, and 712.

  • NECA represents the electrical contractors who lead and deliver complex projects across the region—schools, hospitals, manufacturing facilities, energy systems, and more.

  • IBEW locals represent the highly trained electricians and technicians who perform that work in the field.

This partnership is about more than getting the job done.
It’s about building a
career with purpose, doing work that matters, and making sure our people get home safely at the end of the day.

Together, NECA and IBEW support:

  • High-quality electrical construction

  • Apprenticeship and career training

  • A strong culture of safety and professionalism

  • Long-term workforce development across Western Pennsylvania
