What the Electrical Work Supported
Electrical contractor Ferry Electric Company helped power many of the systems that make Bakery Square operate as a modern technology and community hub.
Their work supported electrical infrastructure for office buildings, restaurants, residential spaces, parking garages, and other areas throughout the development. Crews installed power distribution, lighting, and technology systems that allow businesses to operate, residents to live on-site, and the public to gather in shared spaces.
Projects of this scale take many skilled teams working together. Along with Ferry Electric Company, other contractors helped bring Bakery Square to life, including union electrical contractor Clista Electric, which completed the electrical work for Sally’s Path, the pedestrian and bike connection linking Bakery Square toward Shadyside.
Community Impact
Bakery Square played a major role in the revitalization of Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighborhood. The development created a place where people can live, work, dine, and gather in one walkable district.
Projects like this demonstrate how electrical construction supports the infrastructure behind modern workplaces, housing, entertainment, and community spaces.
Cool Fact
Bakery Square has continued to grow and evolve for more than a decade, with electrical construction supporting everything from workplaces and residences to technology, retail, and public spaces across the development.
